Akeya Pritchett began her journey at TorHoerman Law as an intern, where she spent six months gaining valuable insight into the legal field before transitioning to her current role as a Legal Assistant.

With a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Akeya is dedicated to supporting the Single Event team in various aspects of case management and client communication.

Her roles include assisting with legal research, preparing case files, and maintaining communication between clients and attorneys. Akeya’s strong organizational skills and commitment to learning have made her a vital part of the team.

Personal Life

Outside of work, Akeya enjoys traveling and exploring new places. She is also passionate about cooking and baking, constantly learning new recipes and improving her culinary skills.

Akeya enjoys reading, particularly mystery and thriller books, and is also committed to maintaining a healthy lifestyle through exercise.

Akeya has a goal this year to incorporate more home-cooked meals into her routine by learning new cooking recipes.

She also dreams of one day having her own in-home library, and she loves to collect books toward that vision.

  • What do you consider to be unique about THL? The environment is very friendly, and being here makes you feel like you are a part of one very large family.
  • What is something you wish you could tell THL’s clients? Please be patient; I am trying my best!
  • What is something you feel sets THL apart? Everyone that works here genuinely cares about one another, and that also applies to every client we have too.
  • What is your favorite memory with THL? My favorite memory so far is watching Tor, Kristie, and Eric perform karaoke at our Christmas work party in 2024. It was amazing and funny to witness.
  • What’s your ideal employee outing? Going out to lunch.
