2021 Turkey Giveaway Recap

With this year’s turkey giveaway completed, We want to look back and thank all of you in the community for joining us this year.

It was an event like no other, and we are happy we could support so many families this Thanksgiving!

The giveaway is an impactful event that aims to provide Thanksgiving dinners to households that might be facing a difficult time purchasing a turkey and other food.

Since 2014, the giveaway event has seen growing success over the years with the help of local organizations and businesses.

With the challenges of the pandemic continuing this year, we wanted to make sure the event was COVID-safe for the staff and the community.

For that, we implemented a contactless drive-through pickup process.

That way we ensured the safety of everyone participating!

We are thankful to the community for allowing us to hold the event, the Alton police department for graciously donating their time helping us direct traffic, and all the community members that attended the event.
