At least one person required extrication from their vehicle

BATAVIA, IL – Three people were hurt Wednesday in a two-vehicle accident at a busy intersection in southeast Kane County, reports Patch.

Shortly before 9 p.m., emergency crews responded to an entrapment crash at North Randall Road and McKee Street in Batavia, which is around 43 miles west of Chicago.

Police say that a northbound Chevy Trailblazer collided with a southbound Dodge Ram when the driver of the Chevy initiated a left turn.

At least one person became pinned in their vehicle and required extrication at the scene.

Medics transported both drivers and a passenger from one of the vehicles to local hospitals. The passenger’s condition is unclear, but the drivers are expected to survive their injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
