The scene left traffic backed up to River Road

MINOOKA, IL – Authorities responded to a collision late Thursday night on Interstate 80 near west Minooka, according to TTWN Chicago.

The accident occurred on the westbound lanes of I-80 between the Minooka Interchange (Exit 122 to Ridge Road) and Brisbin Road (Exit 116). It was first reported shortly before 9:50 p.m.

While it’s unclear at this time what led up to the wreck, the scene caused bumper-to-bumper traffic back to River Road.

The conditions of those involved have not been specified.
