Officials haven't shared any details about the driver of the passenger vehicle

KANKAKEE CO., IL – A 31-year-old man died Sunday in a two-vehicle collision along the highway in central Kankakee County, reports Shaw Local.

The accident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. on IL-17 at South 3120W Road between Limestone and Kankakee, which is about 61 miles southwest of Chicago.

Police haven’t shared any details about the circumstances of the wreck except to say that it involved a motorcycle and passenger vehicle.

The motorcyclist, identified as Trevor Waddell of Braidwood, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

It’s unclear if the other driver sustained injuries in the crash.

Officials closed IL-17 for closed to four hours while crews worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
