CRYSTAL LAKE, IL – At least one person sustained injuries Monday in a rollover crash along the highway in southeast McHenry County.

According to Patch, the accident occurred sometime before 6:30 a.m. on IL-31 near Half Mile Road in Crystal Lake. This is about 48 miles northwest of Chicago.

It’s not yet clear what caused the collision or how many vehicles were involved. Police say that one vehicle rolled, possibly entrapping at least one occupant.

Medics treated multiple people at the scene; it’s unclear how many may have required hospitalization.

The crash caused delays along IL-31 while emergency crews worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
