The cause of the accident remains under investigation

MARENGO, IL – A 38-year-old truck driver required hospitalization Monday following a solo crash along the interstate in Marengo.

According to Lake & McHenry County Scanner, a truck driver lost control of his 18-wheeler around 7:15 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-90 near mile marker 36.5. This is near the Illinois Tollway Plaza at Route 23.

Police say that the semi jackknifed into the median on the interstate, entrapping the driver.

Following extrication, medics transported the trucker to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

There were no other people in the truck at the time of the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
