CHICAGO, IL – A 34-year-old woman died late Friday morning in an auto-pedestrian crash in Chicago’s Near North Side.

According to Fox 32 Chicago, the accident happened shortly after 11:30 a.m. along North Dearborn Street between West Superior Street and West Huron Street. This is northwest of the Richard H. Driehaus Museum.

Police say the victim was standing on or near the sidewalk when a Porsche hit her.

The pedestrian, who has not yet been named by authorities, died after transport to an area hospital.

Medics transported the driver of the Porsche to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity, and police cited the 62-year-old woman.

A full investigation is underway.
