Multi-vehicle collision occurred on MO 79 north of Vomund Rd.

ST. PAUL, MO – Two female drivers were injured in a three-vehicle crash on MO 79 in St. Paul on Thursday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The incident unfolded before 6 p.m. when a 55-year-old woman driving a 1996 Ford Ranger pickup truck drifted out of the northbound MO 79, into the southbound lane, and crashed into a 2023 Jeep Gladiator.

The 55-year-old female driver returned to the northbound lane, and her vehicle was then struck by a 2021 Toyota RAV4.

The 55-year-old woman suffered serious injuries, while the Toyota driver, a 24-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries.

Arch medical personnel transported the 55-year-old woman to Mercy Hospital St. Louis, and the 24-year-old woman was taken to the same hospital by St. Charles County ambulance crews.

The Jeep driver, a 54-year-old man, was uninjured.

MSHP said all drivers were the sole occupants of their vehicles, wore seatbelts, and all reside in Winfield.

MSHP has not confirmed the contributing factors behind the crash or said whether anyone was cited.
