One driver fails to maintain lane, leading to collision at Flucom & Bader Roads

DE SOTO, MO – A 33-year-old woman, a De Soto local, had to go to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash at Flucom and Bader Roads on Thursday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash before noon. MSHP said a 22-year-old man, driving a 2021 Ford Transit van, had failed to maintain a lane and veered over the double yellow center line and collided with a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban.

The Chevrolet driver, the De Soto local, said she tried to avoid a crash, but the front left of the van crashed into the front left of the Chevrolet.

Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. Shank’s Towing towed away the Chevrolet from the scene, while Valle Ambulance District transported the Chevrolet driver to Mercy Hospital – South.

No injuries were reported for the 22-year-old man.
