Minor, moderate injuries sustained in collision on I-270 West

FLORISSANT, MO – Two people were sent to the hospital following a two-car crash in Florissant on Saturday.

Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash at 10:45 p.m., saying it took place on Interstate 270 West along New Halls Ferry Road.

MSHP said a 24-year-old man from St. Louis first crashed his 2024 Kia Soul into a 2021 Hyundai Sonata.

The Hyundai driver, a 47-year-old woman from Granite City, Illinois, then plowed into a center median.

The Hyundai driver sustained minor injuries, and her passenger, a 48-year-old woman from Belleville, Illinois, suffered moderate injuries. Christian EMS took the two women to Christian Hospital Northeast for treatment.

MSHP said the male driver was uninjured, but did not confirm whether they cited him.
