ST. PETERS, MO – Two people went to the hospital yesterday following a rear-end collision that happened in the eastbound lanes of I-70 ahead of MO-370.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the crash happened around mile marker 224 shortly before 5 p.m. on Wednesday. A Tesla Model Y had slowed for traffic when it was hit from behind by the driver of an Infiniti Q60.

St. Charles County EMS took the 34-year-old man driving the Tesla to Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

The 27-year-old man driving the Infiniti went to an unspecified hospital via private conveyance.

Both were said to have minor injuries.

The crash totaled the Infiniti and severely damaged the Tesla.
