ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO – Emergency crews responded to a collision early Thursday evening on Interstate 270 near Maryland Heights, a suburb northwest of St. Louis, according to MoDOT STL Traffic.

The incident occurred on the northbound lanes of I-270 past Exit 17 to Dorsett Road and was first reported at about 5:25 p.m.

Little information has been released at this time, but just before 5:40 p.m., the scene had the right three lanes blocked, leaving only two travel lanes open to traffic.

The accident was anticipated to clear within the hour, at 6:23 p.m., but the closure was lifted by 6:15 p.m., ahead of schedule.
