ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO – A 32-year-old O’Fallon man was injured Tuesday evening due to a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 in St. Charles, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on the westbound side of I-70, east of Fairgrounds Road, near Mark Twain Village. It was first reported at about 6:00 p.m.

Officials say a 2005 Chevrolet Impala, a 2015 Honda CRV, and a 2014 Dodge Ram were all traveling westbound on the highway when the CRV and the Dodge Ram slowed for traffic ahead. The driver of the Impala failed to slow down in time, causing the front-end of their vehicle to hit the back of the CRV. That impact sent the CRV crashing into the rear of the Dodge Ram.

The 32-year-old O’Fallon man, who was driving the Dodge Ram, suffered minor injuries. He was transported by ambulance to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital St. Charles.

The driver of the Impala and the CRV, a 28-year-old O’Fallon man and a 28-year-old St. Peters man, respectively, were not reported hurt. However, both of their vehicles were totaled in the wreck.
