Pickup truck crashes into tree off eastbound Byrnesville Road

BYRNES MILL, MO – A driver, who sped and failed to negotiate a curve, was responsible for causing an injury crash in Byrnes Mill on Monday.

Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash at 6:50 p.m. MSHP said the driver, a 20-year-old man driving a 2001 GMC Sonoma pickup truck, did not drive on the right half of the road as he sped and failed to negotiate a curve. He lost control of his pickup truck, overcorrected, and crashed into a tree.

The driver, a 20-year-old man from Cedar Hill, and his passenger, an 18-year-old man from House Springs, sustained minor injuries.

Big River Fire transported the 18-year-old man to Mercy Hospital South, and the driver went to that same hospital by means of private conveyance.
