ST. LOUIS, MO – Authorities responded to a major injury collision Thursday night involving a pedestrian on Missouri State Route 364 in northwest St. Louis, according to First Alert 4.

The incident was reported on the westbound highway near Bennington Place, shortly after 8:00 p.m.

As indicated in the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report, the victim was operating a tractor-trailer when, for reasons still under investigation, they stopped and got out of the truck. Shortly after, they were hit by an oncoming vehicle.

Officials said the victim suffered significant injuries, but no other information about their condition has been disclosed.

It was not immediately clear whether the striking driver stopped and remained at the scene. No charges or citations have been announced.
