EUREKA, MO – A truck driver suffered minor injuries yesterday morning after another semi driver merged into his lane without looking, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

The two-semi crash happened in the eastbound lanes of I-44 ahead of Antire Road.

Troopers say the driver of a Freightliner Cascadia “failed to keep a proper lookout” prior to shifting one lane to the left, clipping the front of a Peterbilt 579 with the back of his trailer.

The injured driver has been identified only as a 35-year-old man from Rock Falls, IL. Eureka Fire Protection District transported him by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South.
