Minor injuries sustained in rear-end crash

ST. LOUIS, MO – A 46-year-old woman was left with minor injuries as a result of a rear-end accident that happened on I-70 in the Northwoods area on Monday.

The collision occurred around 4:15 p.m. on I-70 East, just west of Jennings Station Road, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reveals. Preliminary details show that a 51-year-old man driving a 2025 Honda HRV slowed down for traffic and was rear-ended by a 2013 Ford Fusion.

The 51-year-old man, from Fairview Heights, Illinois, and the Ford Fusion driver, a 24-year-old man from Dupo, Illinois, were both uninjured, while a 46-year-old woman, a Honda passenger, sustained minor injuries.

Northeast Fire Protection District EMS transported the 46-year-old woman to Barnes-Jewish Hospital for treatment.

MSHP did not announce any citations.
