One of the vehicles fled the scene after striking the pedestrian, police say

SOUTH ST. LOUIS, MO – According to KSDK, St. Louis Police have identified the male pedestrian who lost his life to a multi-vehicle crash that happened on Gravois Avenue on Friday.

Officials have identified the man as 27-year-old Pierre Leech, a St. Louis local.

Leech was crossing the 3500th block of Gravois Avenue when he stopped in the center lane. Moments later, he was struck by a white vehicle traveling east and fell to the ground. The driver of that white vehicle did not render aid to Leech and continued driving.

Subsequently, Leech was then hit by a westbound black Toyota Corolla.

A full investigation is underway.
